« Preserving Cultural and Architectural Identity »: Inaugural Conference by the National School of Architecture of Marrakech

The inaugural conference of the 2nd academic season of the 2022/2023 year will be held in Marrakech, hosted by the National School of Architecture of Marrakech and presented by the distinguished architect Serge Santelli. The conference will focus on the heritage of ancient cities and their crucial role in preserving the cultural and architectural identity of the communities that historically inhabited and built them.
Serge Santelli, one of the world’s leading experts in the study of Arab-Islamic architectural heritage, has made a major contribution to the development of theories on the preservation of this heritage and its practical application. This conference will be a unique opportunity for students and enthusiasts in the field to benefit from his valuable experiences and expand their horizons of knowledge.
The conference will take place on Wednesday, March 8th at 9:30 am at the headquarters of the National School of Architecture of Marrakech in the winter district. This conference is organized in preparation for the 8th annual meeting of architects, which this year will focus on the importance of culture in architecture. The objective of this meeting is to foster the exchange of experiences and knowledge and to strengthen the relationships among members of the scientific and professional community in the field of architecture and cultural heritage. Serge Santelli’s inaugural conference will mark the start of this important event and set the tone for a meeting rich in exchange.
